Thinnai Games

Herd & Hunter · Catch the Thief · Dhayam

Effective September 14, 2026 · Applies to Thinnai Games and every game on it

1Overview

This Privacy Policy applies to Thinnai Games and to every game published on it - currently Herd & Hunter (Aadu Puli Aattam / ப்டு புலி ப்ட்டம்), Catch the Thief (Raja Rani / ராளா ரானி), and Dhayam (Ludo) - on the Android apps and the iOS apps (together, the "Applications"). It explains what information the Applications handle and how.

One policy covers all of them because they all work the same way: nothing you do in them is collected or sent anywhere.

2Information We Collect

The Applications do not require registration or an account, and they do not ask you for your name, email address, or any other personal details to play.

The Applications do not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data, and they contain no analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking SDKs.

3Information Stored On Your Device

Each game saves a little state locally, in the app's storage on your device, so it is ready the next time you open it.

Herd & Hunter: your settings (difficulty, chosen side, board theme, sound preference) and your in-progress game (board position, move history, score), so you can pick up where you left off.

Catch the Thief: your game setup - table size, number of human players, round count, board theme, language, per-role scoring, and sound/vibration preferences. Player names, passcodes and round-by-round results exist only in memory while a game is in progress; they are never written to storage and are gone the moment you close the app. Only the totals described below are kept.

Dhayam: your settings (number of players, board theme, sound and vibration preference) and your in-progress game (piece positions, turn order, and score), so you can pick up where you left off.

Every game also keeps running totals of the games played on this device: how many were started, how many were finished, and counts of how they ended - for example, which side won, or how many rounds were played and how often the Thief was caught. These are totals only, with no names, moves, scores or dates, and each game can reset its own totals from its home screen.

None of this data ever leaves your device, and none of it is transmitted to us or to any third party.

4Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The Applications do not use cookies, advertising identifiers, or any similar tracking technology.

5Permissions

The only device capability any of the Applications uses is vibration, for haptic feedback in Catch the Thief when you tap a seat or a card, and in Dhayam when you roll the dice or move a piece.

The Android and iOS apps do not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, location, photos, or any other sensitive device permission - none are needed for the games to work.

6Third-Party Services

The Android apps are distributed through Google Play, and the iOS apps through the Apple App Store. Downloading, installing, and paying for (if applicable) an Application is subject to Google's and Apple's own privacy policies, which are outside our control.

Aside from those storefronts, the Applications do not share information with any third party, because they do not collect any to share.

7Children's Privacy

The Applications are suitable for a general audience and do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because no account, profile, or personal data is ever requested, there is nothing for a child (or anyone else) to submit.

If you believe a child has somehow provided us personal information (for example, by email), contact us and we will delete it.

8Data Retention

Locally stored data persists on your device until you clear it yourself, by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling it. We hold no copy of it anywhere else.

In-progress game data in Catch the Thief - names, passcodes, scores - is never retained at all; it disappears the moment the game closes.

9Your Rights and Choices

Because we do not collect personal data, there is generally nothing held about you for us to access, correct, or delete on our servers. You can erase all locally stored game data at any time by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling it. Each game's totals of games played can also be reset on their own, from that game's home screen.

If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA rights to know, delete, and opt out of sale or sharing of personal information do not add anything in practice here, since we do not collect, sell, or share personal information. If you have questions about this, contact us at the address below.

10International Users

The Applications can be used from anywhere. Since no personal data is collected or transmitted by them, no cross-border transfer of your personal data occurs as part of using them.

11Security

Because gameplay data stays on your device rather than passing through our servers, there is no central database of player data for us to secure or that could be breached.

12Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect a new feature or a new game. We will post the revised policy on this page with an updated effective date.

1Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Thinnai Games and the games published on it - currently Herd & Hunter (Aadu Puli Aattam), Catch the Thief (Raja Rani), and Dhayam (Ludo) - on the Android apps and the iOS apps (together, the "Applications"), operated by the Service Provider. By downloading, installing, or using an Application, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

2License to Use

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, the Service Provider grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Applications for personal, non-commercial entertainment.

You may not reproduce, redistribute, sell, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or create derivative works from the Applications, except to the extent such a restriction is prohibited by applicable law.

3Intellectual Property

The Service Provider retains all rights, title and interest in the Applications, including their code, design, artwork, and branding. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use the Service Provider's trademarks or branding.

4No Accounts, No User-Generated Content

The Applications do not offer user accounts, profiles, chat, or any way to submit or share content with other players or the public. All gameplay data stays on your own device.

In Catch the Thief, player names and passcodes are entered locally by whoever is at the table, exist only for the length of that game, and are never shared with the Service Provider, with players outside the room, or with the public.

5Fair Play Between Players

Catch the Thief and Dhayam are pass-and-play games: several people typically share one device in the same room. You are responsible for how you and your fellow players use the Applications, including keeping your own passcode to yourself in Catch the Thief so others can't peek at your card.

6Third-Party Platforms

If you obtained an Application from Google Play or the Apple App Store, your download, installation, and use are also subject to that platform's own terms of service, in addition to these Terms.

7Connectivity and Device Requirements

The Applications are designed to work offline after installation; no internet connection is required to play.

It is your responsibility to keep your device charged, updated, and able to run the Applications. The Service Provider is not responsible for an Application not functioning correctly on unsupported or incompatible devices.

8Updates

The Service Provider may release updates from time to time and may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Applications at any time. There is no guarantee that every version will remain available, supported, or compatible with your device or operating system indefinitely.

9Termination

The Service Provider may suspend or terminate your access to the Applications if you materially breach these Terms, including by attempting to reverse engineer or redistribute them. Upon termination, you must stop using them and delete any copies from your devices.

10Disclaimer of Warranties

The Applications are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

11Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service Provider shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Applications.

Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable consumer protection law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

12Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service Provider is established, excluding conflict-of-law rules, except to the extent mandatory consumer protection law provides otherwise. Nothing in this clause limits any right you may have to bring a claim in a court that has jurisdiction under applicable mandatory law.

13Severability and Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Service Provider regarding the Applications.

14Changes to These Terms

The Service Provider may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, which will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
